QB Analysis
Mariota is the best play on a week where several of the top Fantasy QBs (Washington State’s Connor Halliday, Mississippi State’s Zak Prescott and Arizona’s Anu Solomon) are on byes. Still, Mariota quietly put up 38 points against a weak and overrated UCLA defense and should be good for at least 30 against Washington…Hendrix has been lethal the past three weeks, accounting for 11 touchdowns (10 passing). He’s now a steady play on a weekly basis…If the wild shootout against TCU didn’t convince you that Petty’s back, nothing will….Hundley should benefit from his team’s lack of defense in what should be a slugfest against a worse Cal defense…Doughty has been productive, as he has accounted for nine touchdowns in the last three weeks. He’s also averages 34.83 Fantasy points per game…Cato had been hurt by the success of RB Devon Johnson, but bounced back with 33.35 Fantasy points a week after a career-low 15.9….Fajardo has warmed up; after a slow start, he’s put together 74.05 Fantasy points in the last two weeks…Florida State is ranked 44th overall defensively, which is why starting Golson is a safe play….Hill has looked very average since Texas A&M started SEC play, yet he has enough tools to bounce back at Alabama…Wallace’s Fantasy numbers are on the upswing, making him a good play against Tennessee.

RB Analysis
Northwestern has allowed a respectable 144 yards per game, but expect that number to climb after Abdullah — fresh off a bye week — lays waste to the Wildcats….Franklin broke out of a two-game skid with 161 yards a pair of TDs in Western Michigan’s win over Ball State. He’s back to must-start status….Allen has played like The Next Great Trojan RB with 78.2 points the last two games. USC’s offense runs through him, which is what Allen will do to Colorado…Aijayi remains the focal point of Boise State’s offense, but his fumbling (three in the last two games) is a mild negative to starting the dual-threat workhorse…Johnson is the sledgehammer for a surprising Marshall run attack (and yes, he can still be played at TE), as his 332 yards and six touchdowns over the past two games will attest….Pumphrey vented his frustration of his 9.4 Fantasy points against Fresno State with 246 yards and two scores against New Mexico. He’s perhaps the best back you’ll have to stay up very late for….Coleman enters the week ranked second only to Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon in Fantasy points at the position, but had to be downgraded due to the fact he faces a rugged Michigan State defense…Certainly, any Fantasy owner would want a back who’s run for 499 yards and five TDs in the last two weeks, which is why Rawls is highly suggested….Once the top back available, Connor has fallen from sure bet to risky, especially against Virginia Tech. The smart money says he’ll rebound…Linwood will still be an explosive option, even as Baylor’s passing game picks up steam.
WR Analysis
The two best at this position reside in the Rocky Mountain State, as Spruce comes off a bye week to take on a suspect USC pass defense. He’ll be targeted frequently. Higgins has 77.2 Fantasy points the last two weeks, with six touchdowns among his 16 catches….White has four games of at least 10 catches and has crossed the 100-yard mark in each of his six games, while scoring in five of them….Lippett is the reason why Michigan State is no longer just a ground and pound offensive attack, as he has remained a solid play since the Spartans started Big 10 action….Cooper had his worst game of the season, yet there are few tonics better than facing the Texas A&M defense these days…Goodley has returned to elite status after missing three games with hamstring issues….McCain and Morgan face off on Saturday in a showdown of two top-tier wideouts. Owners of each should be happy with the production…Sure, Franklin is the focal point of Western Michigan’s offense, but Braverman has emerged as a sure-handed threat that can rattle off Fantasy points….Fuller is a good play at Florida State, as Notre Dame should be able to get a couple of deep shots in his direction.
TE Analysis
Johnson remains a heck of a loophole, as the moonlighting “TE” has become a must-start play for an undefeated Marshall squad…Smith keeps on as a steady threat at the position and is a good option in PPR leagues….Even with McCain hauling in passes at a high clip, Podrabsky is still a top target for Idaho….Keep an eye on O’Leary, who could be the X-factor in the huge Notre Dame-Florida State showdown. He tends to rise up when the stakes are high…Sifrin has quietly become a goal-line option for a 1-5 UMass team that can put up points….Bibbs is a big target for an Iowa State offense that has shown flashes of potential.
