QB Analysis

Prescott had his Heisman moment last weekend and has been downright devastating for Fantasy owners opposing him, as he has averaged a staggering 42.65 Fantasy points per game over the past four weeks. … Why is Watson, a true freshman, ranked second this week? Since head coach Dabo Sweeney (finally) made him a starter, Watson has put up 86.1 Fantasy points, accounting for 10 touchdowns along the way. … Coming off a season-low 30.75 Fantasy points in Oregon’s loss to Arizona, Mariota is a good choice for better numbers when the Ducks face a still-suspect UCLA defense. … Hill looked ordinary at times against Mississippi State, but he’s also a strong bet to produce against Mississippi, especially if his receivers don’t drop 11 passes as they did last week. … Halliday is the clear cut top choice at QB each week, yet has to be downgraded as Washington State faces the one Pac-12 team (Stanford) that actually plays defense. He’s still a must-start, but do temper your expectations considerably. … Cato’s 15.9 Fantasy points against Old Dominion was due in part to a pair of interceptions, but Marshall ran the ball so well that it didn’t need to throw much. That will change against a Middle Tennessee State team that could be the speed bump separating the Thundering Herd from an undefeated season. … Golson has been a steady play all season and should have a field day against a North Carolina defense ranked dead last in the FBS with 42 points per game allowed…So, just who is Blake Frohnapfel? Someone who has thrown for nine touchdowns in the past two weeks. UMass is winless, but has also had four games where they’ve scored 31 or more points, so take him against a Kent State team allowing 34 points per contest. … Trickett is much better than the 39.9 Fantasy points he’s put up the past two weeks. Facing Texas Tech will cure his statistical ills. … Goff has been in wild shootouts the past two weeks, throwing 12 touchdowns in the process. He and Cal’s air show should be productive against Washington.

RB Analysis

Gordon has rushed for 871 yards, seven fewer than Nebraska’s Ameer Abdullah (bye) despite playing in one less game. Illinois, which was pounded by Purdue’s ground attack, had better brace themselves for a long afternoon. … Since rushing for just 73 yards against Troy, Gurley has been in Heisman Mode, racking up 471 yards and four touchdowns. … Taylor has been the best Fantasy back the last two weeks, producing 80.1 Fantasy points while running for 441 yards and six touchdowns. … Old Dominion is 110th against the run, which is all you need to know as to why we love Jones this week. … Coleman enters this week with seven straight 100-yard games and 14 straight with at least one touchdown, so plug him in against Iowa. … Breida has been in a slump and has seen a reduction in his touches, yet, still, he’s a strong play as Georgia Southern gets an Idaho team that allowed 390 rushing yards at Texas State last week….Johnson, who also moonlights as a tight end, comes off a season-best 37.8 Fantasy points against Old Dominion. He’s scored in each game and should continue that streak against Middle Tennessee State. … Keith Ford’s injury has uncovered a potential future Fantasy star in Perine, who has scored seven times since taking the role two games ago. … Allen is beginning to hit his stride as USC’s lead horse and is an all-purpose dynamo who has added value in PPR formats.

WR Analysis

Higgins comes off a 43.3 Fantasy point effort against Tulsa and has produced at least six catches and 98 yards in the last four weeks while hauling in seven touchdowns. … White has hit the century barrier in each game this season and will have a field day against a Texas Tech team allowing 40 points per contest. … Cooper is in line for a big rebound as Alabama will look to vent its frustrations at the expense of Arkansas, which ranks 97th against the pass. … Mayle is the flavor of the week for Washington State, which has three wideouts (Isaiah Meyers and River Cracraft) with over 100 Fantasy points. Receptions will be there, but don’t count on points, since Stanford allows just 8.6 per game. … Sharpe has pulled in 22 catches for 333 yards over the last two weeks as he is the go-to target of Blake Frohnapfel. … While he didn’t find the end zone for the first time this season in Idaho’s loss to Texas State, there’s no reason to frown when it comes to putting McCain in the lineup against Georgia Southern…Morgan is in a scoring slump, but he’s still catching enough to keep him penned as a starter in PPR formats. … Jones is the type of big, physical receiver that has given Southern Cal fits all season and should be a big red zone target for QB Anu Solomon. … Lippett is always a lock to find the end zone for Michigan State…Hardy is due for a big breakout and showed strong signs for it against SMU.

TE Analysis

Johnson, of course, is still viewed as a tight end despite being Marshall’s leading rusher, so continue to advantage of this loophole…Smith remains one of only three tight ends in the nation who leads his team in catches, which makes him a certified must-start. … Idaho constantly plays from behind, making Podrabsky a favorite target of QB Matt Linehan…Sifrin averages 13.7 yards per haul and is second in receptions on a UMass team that airs it out all night long…Walford is one of the other TEs leading his team in catches and is second only to Phillip Dorsett with three TDs for ‘The U’. … Ruiz has caught at least four passes and at least 75 yards in three of his four games. … Sinz has cooled off of late, but Purdue will look to get him more involved. … Vandy lacks downfield options, so it has turned to Scheu, who leads the Commodores with 18 catches. … UAB has used three quarterbacks this season, yet each of them know where to find Backman, who leads the Blazers with three touchdown catches. … Welch is one of four RedHawks who have at least 17 receptions, making him a key to the Miami (Oh.) passing attack.
