QBs
It’s semifinals time in most Fantasy leagues, which is good thing for owners of Lynch, who comes off his bye week after averaging just over 51 Fantasy points the previous three week…Petty gets to face a Texas Tech defense that has allowed 139 points in three straight losses…Rebound time for Mariota, although Utah can be tough on quarterbacks in a Fantasy sense…it will be interesting to see how Winston handles the pressure surrounding amidst recent off-the-field allegations. Outside Looking In: Navy’s Keenan Reynolds has shaken off a slow start to become a point-producing wizard in the Midshipmen’s option attack, including a season-best 53.5 Fantasy point week in last week’s win over Hawaii. He should be a nice play against South Alabama.
RBs
Sankey has at least 125 yards rushing in five of his last six games, yet UCLA’s defense could prove interesting. Who is Bibbs, you ask? Oh, he’s just your average sophomore who has scored 13 touchdowns while totaling 150.1 Fantasy points over the last four weeks, that’s all. Williams is the nation’s leading rusher and will need a big game against N.C. State in order to maintain his distance from the hard-charging Carey, who still has a chance to win his second straight FBS rushing title. Outside Looking In: Those with a daredevil sense may want to look at Baylor freshman Shock Linwood, who ran for 182 yards in last week’s win over Oklahoma. With Lache Seastrunk’s and Glasco Martin’s status uncertain, Linwood gets the keys to a Bears ground game averaging 295 yards an outing.
WRs
Cooks, the top Fantasy wideout, looks to shake off a “slump” which has seen him manage just over 32 points in his last two games. Arizona State had better brace for an extended taste of him….Snead entered the week with three games of at least 20 Fantasy points in his last four games…with Tevin Reese injured, Goodley will get more targets in his direction against Texas Tech…Ward has been one of the few positives in Texas Tech’s recent slump…Hoffman is in the midst of his best play of the season. Outside Looking In:Western Michigan’s Corey Davis has strung three straight double-digit efforts together and has been one of the more unsung freshmen in the nation. Keep his name in mind early in 2014 drafts.
TEs
Amaro had his worst effort of the season (6.7 Fantasy points) since a 4.2 total in week one. Still, don’t let it alter your plans as Tech will need to target him often against Baylor….Funchess is coming off his fourth double-digit game of the season and gets a favorable matchup against Northwestern….Ebron continues to put up solid Fantasy numbers while entrenching himself as a possible first round pick next May….Hoskins has averaged 25.5 yards per catch the last two weeks, good mileage with just four reception. Outside Looking In: Minnesota’s Maxx Williams has 24.6 Fantasy points the last two weeks and is forcing his way to being a factor in the Golden Gophers’ methodical offense.
