QBs
Championship Week arrives in the bulk of leagues, which means Lynch owners had an early drop on clinching a title as NIU plays on Wednesday night….Manziel has 17 touchdown passes in his last four games; there’s no reason to flinch about him on the road at LSU….Petty has become a running threat in the with Lache Seastruck sidelined. He also hasn’t thrown an interception since October 12….Boyd and Winston are must-starts, although both face vastly inferior competition and will likely play sparingly in the second half, which is something to consider. Outside Looking In: East Carolina’s Shane Carden has gone bombs away in the last seven weeks, throwing for at least 300 yards six times. He’s also thrown 16 touchdown passes in the last four weeks and would be an intriguing play against North Carolina State.
RBs
Bibb’s reign of Fantasy terror (at least for his owner’s opponents) continued with a jaw-dropping 65.1 Fantasy point effort last week. He’s rushed for 1,010 yards and 19 touchdowns in the last four weeks and will be under strong consideration for top overall pick status in 2014….Andrews comes off a bye and should have a solid day at Texas State….Williams has run for 87.4 Fantasy points the last two weeks, and there’s little reason to think Maryland will slow him down….a healthy Gurley means good numbers while also making Georgia fans wonder what might have been had he stayed in the lineup. Outside Looking In: After a slow start, Buffalo’s Branden Oliver entered Tuesday’s game against Miami (Ohio) with six straight 100-yard games, including a pair of 200-yard efforts. There’s a host of owners being rewarded for their patience with him this week.
WRs
Cooks is coming a season-low 11 Fantasy points, yet will eclipse that total as Oregon State takes on Washington in what should be an offensive slugfest…Evans had a rare game without a touchdown in his previous game, and there’s little chance that drought continues, even with LSU’s stout defense awaiting him….Adams remains money in PPR leagues, having recorded at least eight receptions in six of his last seven starts, including four double-digit outings…Jones should rebound after having his five-game stretch with at least one touchdown come to an end last week. Outside Looking In: Justin Hardy has been the featured wideout in East Carolina’s up-tempo attack and has scored a touchdown in four straight games. He enters this week’s game against North Carolina State needing 59 yards to surpass last year’s total.
TEs
Jace Amaro owners will have to scramble since the Texas Tech point machine is on a bye….Hoskins has just 28 catches this season, yet ranks among the nation’s leaders in touchdown receptions, defining the high-risk/high-reward theory….Hamlett had a season-best 17.2 Fantasy points last week and could benefit from Washington focusing on teammate Brandin Cooks….Outside Looking In: Kivon Cartwright has been the TE of choice for Colorado State, yet Crockett Gilmore has worked his way on the field recently. He has three games with over 70 receiving yards and might be a worthy roll of the dice, especially to an Amaro owner in need of filling the void.
